Marrow Donors! |
 |
This
poster illustrates the Need for Hispanic
Volunteers to be tested to
join the National Marrow Registry.
Although this poster is 5 years old,
the need for donors remains strong.
People are most likely
to find a matching donor from someone
of similar ethnic background. You
might be someone's one in a million
match! |

The Icla da Silva
Foundation is a nonprofit organization,
whose mission is to help children needing
bone marrow transplants. They recruit
donors for the National Marrow Donor Program,
with special emphasis on recruiting people
from ethnic groups underrepresented in the
Registry. They sponsor Marrow Drives in
the United States, and assist organizations
in Central and South America that are helping
children with leukemia. In addition, their
ongoing goal is to help bring Central and
South America into the worldwide network
of unrelated bone marrow transplantation
services. |
